Crimson

Crimson

(oehler)

The promise in her smile
hides the pain behind her eyes
she wants to feel something
but the world gives only lies
now she’s seeing crimson
and feeling nothing more
watching with detachment
as scarlet stains the floor

Breathe.

We come across the land
we come through the air
we come across the wires
we will always be there.

The ones who will watch over
we hear you when you call
we’re standing right beside you
when there’s no one there at all
ephemeral, eternal, tangible and real
we will help you realize
we will help you feel

We come across the land
We come through the air
We come across the wires
we will always be there

Arms across the distance
bridging empty space
irrelevant of distance
we see the sadness in your face
we beach upon your island
hands to guide you home
remember we are with you
you’ll never be alone

Breathe.

We come across the land
We come through the air
We come across the wires
we will always be there

[EO] This is it. This is pretty much where it all began.  We’d recorded songs before this, and put out tapes and CDs but “Crimson” was our first really “mature” song.  It’s what got us a little notice and convinced us that hey, maybe this “band” thing was more than just a silly diversion.
