2008-04-04 - Yo MAMA
It's that time of year again, time for the Madison Area Music Awards.
We've been nominated in three categories - best album (electronic), best song (electronic) and best song (world).
So vote for us!
We're also playing a benefit for the MAMAs at The Inferno on the 16th of April with fellow nominees Sensuous Enemy. $5 gets you in and I believe also registers you as a MAMAs member, which means you can vote in this next round.
Of course, you may be thinking "why should I spend $5 to vote for you in some sort of local music ego-fest?" Well, see, here's the thing...the MAMAs have a higher purpose than just patting local artists on the back. All proceeds from MAMAs registration go to helping fund music in the schools. Cutback after cutback to education budgets have stripped local schools of funding for the arts and humanities, so the MAMAs have stepped in to help provide new instruments and funding for school music programs. Already they've donated over $20k to local school districts.
So, for $5 you can help kids get into music AND give Null Device a little press. It's win-win!
2008-02-28 - Woot
Thanks to our friends in the Twin Cities, we had a blast.
A coupla new shows coming up in April. Also, Eric O'll be playing as part of Caustic at an upcoming show in March.
Craziness.
2008-01-19 - De/vision, etc
First off, we're playing a gig in Minneapolis on Feb 21st with Germany's synthpop megastars De/vision. It's their only midwest show, and we're privileged to be a part of it. Also with them are Necessary Response, and the Twin Cities' own home-grown EBM from Amdeide.
In the process of getting further distro for "Excursions." - watch this space.
Also, ND has just finished up a surprisingly-ambient remix of The Dark Clan's track "New London", which will be appearing on their upcoming album "The Vampire Wore White" due to drop in late Feb. If you don't know, TDC is the solo project of ex-ND guitar hero Dan Clark.
2007-10-29 - Upcoming Show!
We're playing the Darkroom in Chicago on Nov 11th, with Beta Virus and The Dark Clan.
Should be fun. Beta Virus brings the oontz, Dark Clan brings the...well, a little of everything, and we've got dholaks aplenty.
2007-07-29 - Reverence
Thanks to everyone who made the Reverence festival so incredible. We had a great time!
